The Purpose _

The 60 Limitless Aero Disc excels at minimizing aerodynamic drag while maintaining a smooth steering moment, allowing riders to carry higher speeds through corners and variable conditions.

Consistent and predictable bike handling during varying side wind conditions empowers the rider to maintain the most aerodynamic position on the bicycle and fully utilize the benefits of aerodynamically optimized wheels. Any aerodynamic advantage is immediately erased if the rider is forced to sit up in the final meters of a chaotic finish in order to maintain control.

The wheelset is ideal for all-out riding and racing at maximum speed on fast courses.

Limitless Rims

The ultimate in aerodynamics, designed specifically to meet the needs of the modern rider, at the speeds they ride at. We ride at a range of wind yaw angles far greater than previously considered, and so HUNT Limitless is able to deliver aerodynamic supremacy across a wide range of riding and at real-world speeds.

CeramicSpeed Bearings

CeramicSpeed clearly need little introduction. We were honoured when they approached us last year to work together for the LIMITLESS project. As you know, CeramicSpeed bearings are renowned for their low rolling resistance, and are chosen by the top international athletes and teams.

Sprint Hubs

Race Season SPRINT straight-pull hubs, boasting an engagement rate of just 7.5 degrees owing to the leaf-sprung, multi-point pawls and 48 ratchets in the hub shell. Center-lock brake mount.

Wind Tunnel Proven

Proven to offer competitive aerodynamic drag among tested wheelsets among similar depth, offering the rider up to .4 Watt savings over renowned competitors.

TECHNOLOGY _

The HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc wheelset was designed to provide riders maximum aerodynamic benefit in a system that maintains predictable, stable ride characteristics. Patented Limitless width technology, developed by HUNT's in-house engineering team along with Pete Marchment (Co-Founder & Materials Scientist), utilises co-molded low-density polymer (density of 0.7g/cm3 vs. carbon fibre pre-perg of 1.6g/cm3) in the outer rim construction to achieve an extra wide profile optimized for 25-28c tyres, while keeping overall rim?weight low.

The wind tunnel results show that the HUNT 60 Limitless Aero Disc offers comparable performance against a number of leading aerodynamic wheel manufacturers. When paired with the optimal Schwalbe Pro One 28mm tyre the wheels were the 3rd fastest wheelset on the market at the time of testing.

HIGH SPECIFICATION COMPONENTS _

Patented Limitless Technology

In order to create the most aerodynamic & stable shape for the tyre, a rim bed of 21mm is needed. With the tyre profile this creates, the ideal shape of the rim curves out to an external width of 34mm. To overcome the weight penalty associated with this, we use a (non-structural) low density expanding polymer insert, inside a channel carved out during the production process. This is bonded to the carbon during the curing process, resulting in a uniform and strong bond. The density of carbon is 1.6g per cubic centimetre, whereas the polymer insert weighs just 0.7g per cubic centimetre, resulting in a (rotational) mass loss of just over 50g per rim. This patented technology enables us to consider the limits of material properties, and smash right past them.

Freehub Body

Featuring 3 multi-point pawls with 3 teeth each and a 48t ratchet ring. The result an impressively low 7.5 deg engagement angle. Durability is a theme for HUNT, and so all our freehub bodies have Steel Spline Insert re-enforcements to provide excellent durability against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies. Includes 2 CeramicSpeed bearings in the body.

CeramicSpeed Bearings

You can spec your Limitless wheels with CeramicSpeed's industry-leading hybrid ceramic bearings. All CeramicSpeed ball bearings are Grade 3 Silicon Nitride, featuring the highest achievable surface finish and roundness. The quality of the balls determines the performance and lifetime of a bearing. The CeramicSpeed Balls feature unparalleled impact strength, smoothness, roundness and brittleness.

Pillar Wing Spokes

After considerable testing across multiple spoke types (including analysis against competitor spokes), we found that the aerofoil profile of Pillar's Wing 20 spokes offer even further aerodynamic advantages over flat/bladed options.

Nipples

Despite designing a wheelset with aerodynamic supremacy in mind, serviceability and usability has always been a core philosophy of how we put wheels together. External spoke nipples are absolutely the right choice with this in mind, especially when running tubeless tyres as you would have to remove the tubeless tape to access the nipples were they to be internal.
