READER'S RIDE: DAVID'S HARTLEY ROAD DISC HEAD TURNER

Hartley
The story behind Hartley Cycles starts with frame-builder Caren Hartley who draws upon her vast experience of contemporary metalwork techniques which are put to use in creating bespoke frames which can equally pass as works of art.

"The workmanship is amazing, it rides as well as it looks. I am able to swap from hoods to drops at speed downhill with no wobbles, beautifully balanced and super comfortable..."

David | Road Disc Head Turner

Hartley
Specialising in steel and stainless steel, David approached Caren to make an endurance inspired ride. The result is a frame with a polished rear triangle and metallic green XCR Stainless front triangle. All cables are routed internally with hidden mudguard eyes on the inside of the seat-stays and the custom asymmetric bridges. The ever practical Ultegra groupset and 4Season Disc wheels set up tubeless gives David the ride he wants. A neat little feature is the four letters of his wife and daughter's names on the Down-tube.
