A hard-hitting carbon wheelset for technical and fast, enduro-style riding, backed by H_Care lifetime crash replacement.

Front and rear-specific rim profiles and carbon layups offer tuned ride characteristics. Both rims have been completely redesigned and bolstered with new H_Core reinforcement technology to add strength, hand laced with triple butted spokes around the race-validated Rapid_Engage 17 hub system.

With front and rear-specific carbon layups, rim profiles, and spoke thickness, the Proven Carbon Enduro H_Core delivers a tuned ride feel for maximum control. The front wheel offers comfort and precision to hold a line, with a 31mm internal channel. The rear wheel is reinforced with 3.8mm sidewalls for strength and pinch-flat protection, with a 30mm internal channel and even stronger spokes for hard impacts. These design details and custom internal rim widths help you keep traction and confidence when riding blind at pace. Both carbon rims have been redesigned since the previous iteration, and now feature new-to-market H_Core reinforcement technology, which significantly increases impact resistance by fortifying the rim bed and sidewall junction in the rim moulding process. H_Core

H_Core is a pre-moulded, pultruded and highly compacted carbon fibre core component used to reinforce the junction between the rim bed and sidewall on each side of the rim during the rim moulding process.

Oversized Bead

Pinch flats can ruin any ride. Based on rigorous in-house testing and rider feedback, we've increased the bead thickness of the rear rim to 3.8mm, significantly enhancing tyre protection against snake bites.

Rapid_Engage 17 Rear Hub

Fast engagement paired with dependability. The Rapid_Engage 17 hubset combines an oversized 17mm-wide external diameter 7075-T6 axle with a 42-tooth Steel ratchet ring to increase system stiffness, reducing bearing load and thus further increasing bearing life. Rapid 4.3° engagement angle puts your power straight to the ground.

Technology.

The addition of the H_Core reinforcement technology significantly increases impact resistance of the rims compared to the previous iteration, by ensuring consistent carbon and resin construction, creating a more compacted structure, free of voids or pockets. As a new-to-market technology, HUNT is the first to bring this advancement to carbon rim manufacturing. Tested and developed by our engineers in the UK, H_Core has undergone industry-leading in-house impact tests and real-world rider testing, with H_Core rims enduring multiple EDR World Enduro events.

Front Spokes are Triple butted 2.0-1.6-2.0 (then 2.2 at the head for the patented Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) Rear Spokes are Triple butted 2.0-1.8-2.0 (then 2.2 at the head for the patented Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) 28(F) & 28(R) spokes laced 3 cross front and rear. Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here.  Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

All-new H_Core reinforcement technology increases impact resistance significantly over the previous iteration. The front rim is designed for precision handling, featuring a 31.5mm-wide internal profile that enhances tracking and grip on technical terrain. Out back, the rear rim (30mm internal width) is engineered for strength and durability, with a reinforced layup and oversized 3.8mm sidewall dimensions to reduce the risk of pinch flats and enhance impact resistance.

Nipples

Keeping weight to a minimum, we use hard-anodized alloy nipples. Known for their strength and durability, our nipples won't let you down in the middle of the trail and feature square internal and external heads for ease of maintenance and adjustment.

Spokes

We have chosen top of the line, triple butted Pillar Spokes with increased reinforcement at the spoke head. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. Whats more the spokes feature a different gauge front and rear to further enhance the tuned nature of the Proven Carbon Enduro H_Core wheelset.

Freehub Body

Available with SRAM XD, Shimano Microspline or HG freehubs. Extra thick 17mm 7075-T6 axles for increased strength and stiffness. Reducing flex in the hub also helps to increase bearing life.

Bearings

Our precision CNC hubs house double-sealed precision cartridge bearings, providing long service intervals. In addition, the free-spinning bearings maintain low levels of friction for an ultra-efficient ride and long life.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh rolling-drum fatigue tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 297 lb(system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over275 lb then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
