Hunt Beyond:
Miron Golfman

Name: Miron Golfman

Hometown: Anchorage, Alaska

Which bikes and HUNT wheels do you ride? Santa Cruz Blur with Search Dynamo MTB.

Favourite riding experience to date? Probably the most meaningful ride I've done was my FKT of the Baja divide in 2022. Following my experience as a primary care giver for my uncle battling ALS, I made a goal to attempt a speed record of Baja to raise money and awareness for ALS. To be successful in accomplishing my goal while raising $50k for the Ride to Endure project meant the world. I’ve never been able to quite replicate that feeling I had when I finished this ride.

What are your plans for 2024? Iditarod Trail Invitational 1000, Highland Trail 550, ITT of the Trans Ecuadorian Mountain Bike route.

What does riding or ultra racing mean to you? I was drawn to Ultra-racing because I am excited to explore the bounds of human potential. Ultra racing goes well beyond a physical challenge, it calls on all aspects of one’s will force. Inevitably in all ultra events I have done, I find myself at one point or another vulnerable physically, emotionally and mentally. It’s in those moments, when everything in you wants to stop and you make the choice to push on, that is when I feel most alive. While I do these events for myself, and the meaning of the experience is in personal overcoming, it also means a lot to be able to share these experiences with others!

Favourite ride snack: I really love apple sauce!

Soundtrack to your ride: I have a spotify album called “Dig Deep”. Every song on this playlist gets me pumped and puts a smile on my face. This is the playlist i put on when things get tough and when Im coming into the finish line!
