Lachlan’s Transition Sentinel has been built as the ultimate do-it-all trail/enduro bike for demanding Scottish riding conditions, using a carefully selected mix of sponsor components. The 150mm-travel carbon frame is paired with a 160mm Öhlins fork, striking the perfect balance for all-day adventures while remaining more than capable of getting rowdy on enduro laps around the Borders. 

With this in mind, Lachlan opted for a pair of HUNT Proven Carbon Trail H_Core wheels. The Proven Trail delivers impact resistance comparable to many enduro wheelsets, but with the added benefit of lower weight—ideal for those long climbs back to the top. Tuned front and rear rims provide added compliance up front and strength at the rear, while our H_Core technology ensures durability and consistent performance. For rapid acceleration and technical climbs, the 2° engagement S RapidEngage hubset makes quick progress feel effortless.

For maximum grip, the 30mm internal-width Proven Trail H_Core rims are wrapped in the finest Italian rubber from Pirelli, set up tubeless using HUNT tubeless tape and valves. 

Rounding out the build, Lachlan’s Sentinel is finished with an SQlab cockpit, a chainset from Scottish brand Pinned, Mudhugger fenders to keep the worst of the elements at bay, and Weldtite products to keep everything clean and running smoothly between trail sessions.
