Which bikes and HUNT wheels do you ride? A whole mixture of bikes from Mason and I luckily get to choose the best wheels to suit the ride! My bread and butter though is the trailwide 29inch mtb wheelset for almost all of my mtb training. When I race I tend to run a dynamo hub so have had some Hunt Beyond rider spec stuff put together.
Favourite riding experience to date? Always a hard question to answer but I can’t get over how much I enjoyed winning the HT550 last year. Manu pushed me all the way to the line and I left it all out there whilst my race didn’t go perfectly, it rarely does and I would struggle to duplicate it.
What are your plans for 2024? First up im heading to Atlas to race in a pair with my fiance Megan. Easter then brings an attempt at the AZT800 as an ITT followed by a mid season break which leads into Silk Road for the second time as I have unfinished business.
What does riding or ultra racing mean to you? Hmm, I think it is one of my favourite ways of experiencing a landscape. It just hits the right pace and headspace that you can’t quite get whilst bike packing “normally”. I seem to feel as though I’m more connected to my surroundings but that probably just a lack of sleep talking.

Soundtrack to your ride: I have taken to putting up an instagram story asking for requests to a playlist before each major race. This always delivers a real mix of genres which keeps me on my toes and also anchors me mentally a little bit as I will associate each song wit whoever suggested it.
