<h1>Rim Surface</h1><i>V:Absorbe resin reduces vibration and massively improves impact resistance. Disc brake rims are obviously not required to handle the high temperatures induced by prolonged rim braking. We have made the most of this and used our new V:Absorbe resin blends in the carbon layering which cures at a lower temperature. Lower temperature resins are less brittle meaning they have greater resistance to impacts and dampen vibration more effectively.</i>

<h1>Bearings</h1><i>The heart of any wheel. Investing in them makes huge sense. We use high-grade precision smooth-rolling sealed cartridge bearings by EZO Japan.</i>

<h1>Freehub Body</h1><i>Durability is a theme for HUNT as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result, we've developed the <em>H_CERAMIK</em> coating to provide excellent durability and protect against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.</i>

<h1>Nipples</h1><i>To accompany these high-end spokes we selected brass nipples for our Hunt 4Season wheels. Brass is strong and corrosion resistant plus it has self-lubricating properties to prevent issues that can arise from grit salt on the winter roads corroding the fine threads in alloy nipples. As well as the standard square body we chose nipples with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning.</i>

<h1>Weight</h1><i>The consequence of the fanatic attention to detail is a low 1461g wheelset weight, and dependable reliability for many adventures to come. Acceleration and climbing are massively improved over many of the stock wheels supplied on road/gravel/CX disc brake bikes.</i>

Perfect for those fun trail thrashes and bike-packing adventures, whilst not compromising anything for fast-far road days

HUNT recommends a 45-60mm tyre for best performance, tyre widths between 35mm and 65mm are also safe to use. Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this read here. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. Only use tyres suitable for hookless (TSS) rims. If unsure, please contact the tyre manufacturer. Leading brands, including Schwalbe, Continental and Vittoria, have many tyres suitable for hookless TSS rims. You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

H_Core reinforcement technology increases impact resistance, resulting in one of the strongest gravel rims on the market. The 27mm-wide internal profile enhances strength and durability, with a reinforced layup and oversized sidewall dimensions to reduce the risk of pinch flats. The 650B rims feature an asymmetric profile developed for compliance and impact resistance, ready for your rowdiest gravel rides.

HOOKLESS RIMS

The key benefits of hookless can be distilled down to the following:

Brass Spoke Nipples

Hand built with brass spoke nipples, selected for their corrosion resistance, proven durability, especially in adverse conditions. Every detail is designed with your riding in mind.

Rim Bed

H-Lock is our tubeless-ready rim bed profile with up-kicks to the shoulders of the tubeless steps which help to create a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. The H-Lock profile also locks the beads in place more securely once seated. This is especially important when running lower pressures off road.

Hubs

The HUNT H_Ratchet 36T SGL hubset offers a 10° engagement angle with improved durability, achieved with increased engagement surface area while using less shell materials relative to pawl-based systems. The ratchet rings are finished with a process called Electroless Nickel Plating which gives us a 25μm-thick coating over the surface of the ratchet, allowing for more even power distribution over the ratchet surface for longer service life.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 135 kg (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 110 kg then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
