There is a heat that doesn’t just shimmer on the asphalt; it burns itself deep into your soul. When the high alpine mid-summer transforms the Valtellina valley into a golden oven, the boundaries between physical agony and pure ecstasy begin to blur. For the monumental tenth edition of the legendary MOGAST event, our Dresden crew, including Carsten and Paul, headed back to Tirano. Their goal: nothing less than the holy trinity of cycling—the Mortirolo, the Gavia, and the Stelvio. But this year, the passes demanded an entirely new tribute. The sun brooded mercilessly over the peaks, the air hung thick in the stone gorges, and every single pedal stroke became a silent battle against the heat. And yet, precisely amidst this melting tarmac and the burning sensation in the lungs, the true magic of MOGAST unfolded.
