<h1>Nipples</h1><i>To accompany these high-end spokes we selected brass nipples for our HUNT 4 Season wheels. Brass is strong and corrosion resistant plus it has self-lubricating properties to prevent issues that can arise from grit salt on the winter roads corroding the fine threads in alloy nipples. As well as the standard square body we chose nipples with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning.</i>

<h1>Bearings</h1><i>Bearings are the heart of any wheel and investing in them makes huge sense so we went to Japanese bearing experts EZO and invested extra to spec their high-grade precision sealed cartridge bearings in our full range.</i>

<h1>SPOKES</h1> <i>We chose Pillar triple butted spokes, lighter and providing a greater degree of elasticity to maintain tensions and add fatigue resistance. The PSR J-bend spokes feature the 2.2 width at the spoke head providing more material in this high stress area. The nipples come with a square head so you can achieve precise tensioning. Combining these components well is key which is why all Hunt wheels are hand-built.</i>

<h1>ADAPTABILITY</h1> <i>Our wheels are seriously future-proof. We can adapt your wheels to any current axle standard on the market, you just need to let us know what are your requirements by filling in the simple form on the confirmation page after checkout.</i>

<h1>Weight</h1><i>The consequence of the fanatic attention to detail is incredible durability and a resulting low 1698g gram wheelset weight. Acceleration and climbing are massively improved over many of the stock wheels supplied on road/gravel/CX disc brake bikes.</i>

<h1>TYRES</h1> <i>At HUNT, we enjoy the puncture resistance and grip benefits of tubeless on our every-day rides so we wanted to allow our customers the same option. Of course, all of our tubeless-ready wheels are designed to work perfectly with clincher tyres and inner tubes too.</i>

With our proven, double-sealed 4 Season hubset, wide HFR+ (High Fatigue Resistance) heat-treated alloy rims and increased spoke count, this wheelset was built for the roughest road and gravel riding.

Tyre size: Optimized for 30 to 45mm tyres; work well with 29mm up to 60mm.

The Purpose _

The 4 Season Gravel has long been a staple in our range, it's a great option for those wanting to hit the path less travelled. This is the only gravel wheel you'll ever need. With a high spoke count and large double-sealed cartridge bearings, you can enjoy fit & forget performance whilst exploring, go bike-packing, rip any trails or CX courses you fancy, and do it all with confidence.

Weve invested in high-specification rims, hubs and spokes, so you dont pay a weight penalty for that extra off-road durability.

HUNT recommends a 38-42mm tyre for best performance, tyre widths between 29mm and 65mm are also safe to use. Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 130 kg (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage) If the system is over 120 kg then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
