Whether you're doing a back-country epic or pedalling between stages, we have paid attention to weight to suit the type of riding they will be subjected too. For example, using the highest quality Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) has allowed us to not only create a stronger wheel with a higher spoke count, but one which does not add a weight penalty.</i>
<h1>Front Hub</h1><i>Suited to match the needs of the modern trail bike rider. Featuring durable bearings and 7075-T6 series alloy axles to increase stiffness. These hubs have been selected based on their ability to perform on the most aggressive trails.</i>
<h1>Freehub Body</h1><i>Durability is a theme for HUNT as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. As a result, we've developed the <em>H_CERAMIK</em> coating to provide excellent durability and protect against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.</i>
<h1>Spokes</h1><i>We have chosen top of the line, triple butted Pillar Spokes with increased reinforcement at the spoke head. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. The Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR) puts more material at the spoke head, just before the J-Bend to prevent failure in this stress area.</i>
<h1>Rim Bed</h1><i>Like all of our wheels, the Hunt MTB line-up is designed to be used as a tubeless system. Featuring a H-Lock rim bead with 'up-kicks' to the shoulders of the rim bed secures your tyre when seated. This prevents side-to-side movement reducing the chance of burping your tyre. It creates a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. Still haven't made the switch? All our wheels are tube compatible as well.</i>

      All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh rolling-drum fatigue tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 120kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 110Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tyres at max 40psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.

      Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.35" Snake Skin Front / Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25" Snake Skin Rear

      The Nobby Nic might just be one of the most versatile tyres out there. It has been seen everywhere from the pinnacle of the EWS and won’t be out of place at your local xc race. We love this high volume, predictable tyre for most of our pedal orientated rides and have even found it fitted to our trail bikes when we hear the smoother trails calling for a faster option. It rolls well, has great traction/grip, is predictable in the corners and might just be the goldilocks for your tyre needs. If you can tell we are a fan of this tyre, then you’d be right.

      Choose this tyre combo for your XCWide wheels. It’s a great option if you want an all-round option for your xc or trail bike. We love this tyre when the trails are demand a more pedal friendly option but don’t give up on the descents.
